Jedit is a Cocoa version of the popular text editor in Japan. Supports Unicode, Text Encoding Sniffer, Customizable Syntax Coloring, Fully Customizable Key Bindings, Split Editing Window, Line Numbers Display, Book Marking, Object Embedding (image, Quicktime Movie and files), Sorting etc. 

Supports selection for a rectangle area, loading/saving rich text as HTML/Word XML/WebArchive format, Spotlight compatible properties, Automator Actions, list and table as Tiger original functions. 

Also supports English Help, AppleScript, macro menus, HTML editing assistance, saving find results, checking encoding compatibility, external editor protocol, styled text search and more.
