e2sync is totally unnecessary to me and I imagine the vast majority of people. I don’t need to sync specific categories and from what I’ve observed it’s giving me the exact same results as I was getting before I bought it, just syncing Entourage with .Mac/Address Book/iCal and my iPhone using the built-in Entourage sync functions in tandem with iSync. What I’m really looking for is a way to get my Tasks and Notes in Entourage to show up on my iPhone and this doesn’t do that. It’s clear that I would need a 3rd party app on the iPhone that could even make such a thing possible and so far I haven’t found that! I had a Treo 650 before the iPhone and the e2sync wasn’t necessary for that either. For most I would say e2sync is redundant and a waste of money since Entourage and OS X already come with a working sync.
